About Noakes Group
Noakes Group was founded by managing director Sean Langman in 2006. Noakes originally began in 1979 as a rigging company and over three decades has expanded into a multi-faceted operation that stretches across three Australian states. From Nelson Bay to Port Huon, Noakes operates six boat yards, three in Sydney, all which offer a full repair and maintenance service, including specialist marine repairs, as well as storage and berthing.
Noakes Group also operates Rosman Ferries, an historic ferry charter business with five beautifully restored and very distinctive red and yellow Federation style ferries which can be booked for charters, including weddings and wedding transport on Sydney Harbour. Mid-week the ferries are also utilised for Lessons Afloat, and established program offering Sydney Harbour excursions designed to supplement NSW school and college syllabuses.
The historic Kermandie hotel and floating marina located on Tasmania's picturesque Huon River was a recent acquisition for Noakes Group managing director Sean Langman and business partner Christopher Stannard and in 2010 Sean Langman and partner restaurateur Con Dedes opened a first class function centre, restaurant and cafe at Woolwich Dock with uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour to the city skyline.
