August 2010: Nelson Bay

27 August 2010

There has been a strong influx of luxury gameboats into Australia from America of recent times. One such vessel is the Viking 48 "Diversion" which was recently unloaded off a ship in Newcastle and delivered to our Nelson Bay yard. There the Viking 48 will receive a refit and will be "personalised" for the proud owner, who is attending and supervising the job which covers a 6 week schedule.

A custom fit game tower has been manufactured on site and the Noakes job list entails the custom build of all floors, hardtops, control panels for the tower, as well as the fitting of underwater lights and the refit of skin fittings , pumps , bow thrusters and other hardware.

The boat will be antifouled and propspeed applied to the running gear, then fully cleaned and detailed with an expected launch date mid September.
