June 2010: Nelson Bay

30 June 2010

As Nelson Bay is a very popular resort location connected to the Myall Lakes waterway system, many boats kept in the area are owned by people who live elsewhere in NSW and travel to the bay to use their boat.

To assist these owners in servicing their vessels Noakes Nelson Bay offer to collect the vessel from its berth and return it on completion of work.

One such vessel that annually visits the yard is the 55' houseboat "Casual Affair" which just fits in the travel lift beam limit of 21' 6''. Vessels of this type are often challenging to maneuver in tight situations, so all care is taken in very calm conditions to ensure a safe lift & launch.

Casual Affair has just been up in June for her annual antifoul and service, during which time the owner did not have to attend to his vessel.
