November 2010: Kermandie

5 November 2009

The beautiful converted 1950's timber ferry Wanderer has had the pleasure of being the first official lift at Kermandie Marina, the new state-of-the-art floating marina on the shores of the picturesque Huon River. Wanderer received an antifoul and general check, before being sent on her way with her live-in owners.

Kermandie Marina, which is a joint venture of Noakes managing director Sean Langman and business partner Christopher Stannard, currently accommodates for do-it-yourself jobs with a skilled shipwright to begin work in March. The Kermandie Marina offers the best in facilities including a 68 tonne travel lift, a mast crane, scaffolding, hardstand and deep water access. The brand new floating marina offers permanent and casual berthing, as well as accommodation at the adjacent Kermandie Hotel.
